I have lived in Upper Michigan, or the Upper Peninsula (UP), my whole life. One of my favorite things about the UP is how we’re basically our own state. Yes, we are attached to lower Michigan and have the same government, but we’re kind of our own state. People from Lower Michigan forget that we exist, which is honestly funny. I found the copper pin in a gas station in Baraga, and I thought it was funny, so I bought it. The button pins came from Snyder’s drug store in Ishpeming, but I believe you can get them at the Yooper tourist trap.
